Spring Highlighted By Two Seminars

The Northeast Chapter of the American Corporate Counsel chapter had a busy spring and the upcoming fall season promises to be no less interesting.

Our chapter of ACCA now includes as members over 600 in-house attorneys in New England, and is the leading in-house bar association for the region. (Interested in-house practitioners should consult www.acca.com for information about joining.)

Two seminars highlighted our spring. On June 11, “Going Global: An International Business Forum,” sponsored by Hale and Dorr and developed by Boston University Law School, was held in Boston with simultaneous, remote videoconferencing to Hale and Dorr’s New York and Washington, D.C. locations. “What Corporate Counsel Should Know about Internal Controls and Sarbanes-Oxley and Why,” was held June 26 and sponsored by Pricewaterhousecoopers.

We received an outstanding response to our recent Member Survey and will be employing our members’ opinions and suggestions as we plan upcoming activities of our Chapter.
