Last April at our inaugural In-House Leaders in the Law event, we honored 15 corporate counsel who demonstrated exemplary leadership skills – both on the job and in their communities.
In-house lawyers in the region, joined by outside counsel from various law firms, converged to celebrate at the gala event the hard work and terrific accomplishments of our inaugural “class” of In-House Leaders in the Law.
The festive program was a networking bonanza, the atmosphere was truly convivial, and, most of all, the spotlight shone brightest on the impressive cast of honorees,
all of whom are extraordinary lawyers and
individuals.
Now it’s time to get rolling for our second Leaders in the Law event. This is where you come in.
We’re looking for a fresh group of nominees. We need you to nominate those in-house lawyers you think rise above the crowd. And you are in the best position to see these in-house lawyers in action. We’re looking for lawyers who might have been a leading force in an impressive transaction; or who led the charge in a major piece of litigation; or perhaps has developed an innovative practice tool or technique that has enhanced the value and presence of your legal department.
These are just possible scenarios. Last April, for example, we honored lawyers who demonstrated extraordinary vision and skill during trying times at their companies. We honored lawyers for their mentoring abilities. We honored lawyers who worked long and hard on various pro bono initiatives.
Please take a few moments to consider who you think is the real deal – and who should be recognized for bringing honor to the in-house legal community.
You’ll find the nomination form online at http://events.lawyersweekly.com/InHouseLeadersintheLaw/index.cfm.
Or you can fill out the sheet inserted with this edition of New England In-House and fax it back to me at 617.451.7326.
We look forward to receiving your nominations and reading about all the amazing accomplishments of in-house lawyers in our legal community.
And we’ll see you in April 2008 for the next In-House Leaders in the Law event!
