Maine Firm Expands To Boston

The Portland, Maine-based law firm of Verill & Dana is
set to expand to Boston with the opening of its newest office in September. The
Boston office will be the firm’s sixth, with five existing locations in
Portland, Augusta, and Kennebunk, Maine; Kansas City, Mo.; and Washington D.C.

George P. Field, a Boston trial attorney with over 25 years
of experience, will head the new Boston office.

“I look forward to helping Verrill & Dana establish a
meaningful presence in Boston and the surrounding area,” said Field, who most
recently worked at the Boston law firm of Field & Roos. Field, a candidate
for the Massachusetts Legislature, plans to hire three to five attorneys and an
administrative staff for the Boston office before it opens next month.

Managing partner David E. Warren said, “Our move into the
Boston market represents a significant expansion of our capabilities to provide
legal services where our clients are doing business.” The new Boston office
will be located in the Mellon Financial Center at One Boston Place in the
city’s Financial District.
