The Northeast Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel is conducting a program on Thursday June 10 that will provide tips on advancing an in-house legal career.
The program, co-sponsored by Goodwin Procter and New England Legal Search, will have two panel discussions discussing strategies for in-house career development.
The first panel will consist of three prominent general counsels discussing how they have helped to manage the career development and advancement of the lawyers in their departments.
The second panel will consist of in-house attorneys describing how they are managing their own careers and discussing their transitions, professional development and advancement.
The speakers will include: Barry Nagler, general counsel, Hasbro, Inc.; David Pace, general counsel, Reebok International Ltd.; Paul Nightingale, general counsel, H.P. Hood, Inc.; Larry Weiss, associate general counsel, Tyco Healthcare Group LP; Margaret Seif, general counsel, RSA Security Inc.; Adam Daly, corporate counsel, Apogent Technologies; Lizette Perez-Deisboeck, partner, Goodwin Procter LLP.
Linda Kline, managing director, New England Legal Search, Ltd., will moderate the panel discussions.
The program – entitled “Keeping In-House Careers on Track: A How-To Guide for General Counsels and Staff Attorneys” – will be held from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at Goodwin Procter, Exchange Place, 53 State Street, Boston. Cocktails and networking will follow the presentation.
